Education:
Native to Tidewater, Steve Hollberg graduated from College of William and Mary with a B.A. in Political Science, and from Virginia Commonwealth University with Post Baccalaureate degree in Accounting. He became a licensed CPA while working through evening classes in 1991.
Background:
Steve served in a variety of financial roles with Fortune 500 firms focusing on process improvement, forecasting, estimating reserves and providing statutory and GAAP based reporting for subsidiaries. He managed litigation, the audit process and served as corporate rep and fact witness for litigation in state, local and Federal courts nationwide and supported litigation involving bankruptcy fraud and forensic investigations of major lending institutions.
He has served as Controller for profit closely held firms involved in exports, agribusiness, dealership, retail and hospitality industries. Clients have included contractors, closely held for profit retailers and service providers, dealerships, trusts, non profit service providers, professional associations, home owners associations and high net worth individuals.
Public Service:
Mr. Hollberg has served on Town Council, Town of Urbanna, and as Mayor for two terms on a volunteer basis. He has served on the Middle Peninsula Planning District Commission and Middle Peninsula Business Development Partnership, as well as the Chesapeake Bay Public Access Authority. In Richmond, Virginia, he served the Church Hill Association as Vice President and President in the St. John's Old and Historic District and was key to site and plan negotiations that resulted in the HUD Platinum Award for the Jefferson Mews development by Richmond Better Housing Coalition.
General:
Mr. Hollberg lives in Urbanna, Virgina wth his wife and son.
He is a member of the Virginia Society of CPAs and American Society of Certified Public Accountants.
